You may have heard about counselling through friends or colleagues, or in the media, but do not really know what to expect from a counselling session. If you have an issue or problem which is affecting your everyday life and/or you find it difficult to cope on a daily basis, then it may help to talk to someone who is willing to listen objectively and who can help you explore ways of developing your strengths and resources.
Counselling is also about learning to accept yourself, including the bits that you may not like very much. Are you dissatisfied with certain aspects of your life but feel stuck and don’t know what to do about it? Counselling can help you to find ways of making changes which have a positive impact and also to accept those things which are beyond your control.
Our counselling room offers a calm and safe environment where you can talk through your issues at your own pace. Counselling can sometimes help to make sense of all those mixed up thoughts and feelings and perhaps help you to see things from a different perspective.
